Partners in Ministry
At Ascension, we see ourselves connected to many others in ministry. We are not alone in our concerns for the homeless, at risk children, hunger, injustice and sharing the gospel. In some cases, we work together as partners supporting them financially and through our volunteers.
Evangelical Lutheran Church In America (ELCA)
We are a congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), a church that reflects our values around grace and service. We also join with the ELCA in programs for ending hunger and malaria.
Children’s Learning Center
We share the love of God with children in our Children’s Learning Center – a daycare, preschool and before and after school care center.
Lutheran Family Services
We provide respite, safety, and hope for at risk babies and children by partnering with Lutheran Family Services’ KPC Kid’s Place.
Interfaith Hospitality Network
We join with other people of faith in our community to build a path out of homelessness with Family Promise’s Interfaith Hospitality Network.
Family Mentor Alliance
We create teams which assist and partner with families as they move from homelessness to sustainable life through the Family Mentor Alliance.
Habitat for Humanity
We build homes with Habitat for Humanity and Thrivent Builds in Colorado Springs.
We join with other people of faith in our community to prevent hunger and support their lives through Mercy’s Gate.
We provide a life of possibilities for people with intellectual disabilities by supporting and partnering with Mosaic.
Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp
We support outdoor ministry through Rainbow Trail Lutheran Camp.
