A Message from Mary Stoneback, Deacon for Faith Formation:
Ascension Lutheran Church is invested in attending to the needs unique to maturing adults and their spiritual development. We provide opportunities for members to engage and deepen their faith in Christ and to connect and build community. Special guests are regularly invited to share on topics related to faith and life. We seek for ways to partner with the larger community and organizations which specialize in providing resources and support for adult faith formation. Ascension supports its leadership and members in continuing education through The Johnson Institute: Creative Faith Formation for Boomers and Elders. At every age and in every season of life and faith, God is at work in and through His children, cultivating faith and the gifts given to each. Thanks be to God one never retires from the call to be witnesses to God’s redeeming love and grace to all through Jesus Christ. We continually grow in understanding of what it means to be human, in relationship with God and with others. As we continue to grow in faith together and naturally, age, may we be encouraged that God loves to form work through His children of all ages!”
