Looking forward, 2024 is a year for Ascension to Celebrate Community. In 2023, we’ve seen God’s love in our lives as we gathered together in fellowship and worship and in the generous support for our world hunger drive and special appeal to support staff salaries.  As with Abraham, we are blessed to be a blessing to others (Gen 12:2). 

As we consider stewardship in 2024, we have two areas where we would like to strengthen God’s good work in our community:  music performances and staff compensation.

• Music Performances:  For decades, Ascension has celebrated Christmas through our Christmas Cantata.  This year, we added another cantata during the spring.  It was so well received that we are making it our stretch goal to grow these special musical performances.  They are moments of celebration for us as well as opportunities to invite people to join us.
• Ministry Support:  We have an ongoing concern that we keep our staff fairly compensated for their good work. We are striving to have them at our leadership’s recommended salary levels based on our Synod’s guidelines.

Specific Goals:
$4,000        Music Performances costs for musician, music and promotions
$12,000      Ministry Support for staff compensation

In response to God’s blessing, we would ask you:

First, reflect prayerfully on what you might give. Consider your 2023 giving and ask: In gratitude for being blessed, how much more can I give to bless others through supporting God’s work through my church?

Second, prayerfully decide what God would have you give in support of your church community and its mission. Then fill out the Estimated Giving Card you received in the mail and send it to the church in the envelope provided. Contact the office if you didn’t receive a card. You can also complete an online version.
