Children and youth all over the city are back in school and thanks to generous donations from members and friends of Ascension Lutheran Church, over 60 of them will be sporting new backpacks and lunch boxes. And that’s not all. As a part of this year’s back-to-school supply donation drive, the children of Ascension’s Children’s Learning Center (CLC) and Audubon Elementary School are equipped and blessed to begin a new year. Early this week, Pastor Dan and Pastor Daniel talked with the children about how we are not alone in the upcoming year. Our backpacks can remind us that God is with us and will help us to learn, grow and get through all that life has to offer.
Looking for a way to continue to support the children, youth and teachers this upcoming year? There is a continual need for school supplies for Audubon Elementary School and Ascension’s Children Learning Center is always open to donations as well. Need help?
