Lent begins with Ash Wednesday March 5, with Easter Celebration on Sunday April 20. This year’s Lenten Theme is Encounters with God and explores the great stories of Genesis. Midweek worship services offer an opportunity to deepen spiritual life. This season of Lent > Lencten > Lengthen hails longer days and the coming of spring. It is a time of fasting mirroring Jesus’ 40 days in the wilderness. It is also a season of growth marked with prayer, fasting and almsgiving (giving money to those in need).
