Making a Lasting Impact

Posted on February 11, 2019 | Posted by Annie Saunders

In his Sermon on the Mount, Jesus’ teachings were demanding around letting our lights shine, loving others, not being anxious, and so forth.   In his conclusion to this sermon, Jesus asserted that acting on these demanding teachings was like building a house on a rock.   When the rains fall and the floods come, that house will stand.   I don’t think Jesus was teaching that our eternal life was dependent on following his commands.  Rather, he was talking about how we can build something lasting on earth through our actions.  Living as he taught will have an impact that will not be washed away by the latest earthly troubles and trials.   To hear more about having a lasting impact with your life, follow the links.
