Receiving and Sharing Forgiveness

Posted on March 12, 2019 | Posted by Annie Saunders

Jesus gave strong words on the life-giving importance of receiving and sharing forgiveness. The servant in his parable was forgiven a vast amount. As much as he took the benefit of his debt forgiven, I suspect that he didn’t receive the mercy that was behind it. I suspect that because receiving great mercy is transforming. We can see that it wasn’t transforming for him as he soon pounced on someone who owed him little and had him punished. It is not easy to be merciful and forgive especially when you have been burned or hurt in a deeply personal way. But it is life-giving. To hear more follow the links.   –Pr. Dan
