Room for Mercy – 3/19/2017

Posted on March 19, 2017 | Posted by Pastor Daniel

Pastor Daniel’s sermon for March 19, 2017 on the parable of the prodigal son, Luke 15:11-32.

Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours.  But we had to celebrate and rejoice, because this brother of yours was dead and has come to life; he was lost and has been found.  …

My love carries no condition.  I know you think it should.  I know you think the world would run better that way.  But I think it’s better if you know that no matter what, no matter how long you’ve stood outside this gate too afraid or too indignant to come in, I will always come out to you.  I will always love you.

Today, my heart sings within me.  My child was lost.  My beloved child.  And now my child is found.  Nothing, nothing matters more to me than that.
