Pastor Daniel’s Sermon on Luke 7:1-17
“I think it happened as I kept coming here, receiving that grace in tiny pieces of bread and cups of wine. Reminding myself of grace with tiny traces of water on my forehead. Maybe we make it so tiny because that’s all we can handle at one time. Little bits of grace which slowly chip away at our presumptions of and anxieties about worth, until eventually all that’s left is faith. That and freedom. Freedom from my fears and the experience of unworthiness that’s as sure as mortality. Freedom to live and be and serve and have faith. True, trusting faith that worth isn’t part of God’s vocabulary on heaven or on earth.”
