Faith Seeking Understanding – Ascension’s Book Club

Faith Seeking Understanding will host it’s next book club discussion on February 11 at 11:30 at Ascension. We gather together to eat (potluck!), get to know one another, and discuss the book. I a world of echo chambers, partisan yelling, or small talk terrified of discussing big topics, it’s nice to engage in civil conversation rooted in faith.
The book: “Just Mercy” by Bryan Stevenson. Stevenson is a death row lawyer, and through his experiences he discusses the death penalty, criminal justice in America, and the impact race and poverty have on justice.
